FREEBIE For Military Families

Hello Military Families!

I have added a link for military resources. You will be taken to the Bluetails blog which is the command I am the Ombudsman for. If you see Bluetails you are in the right place. From here you will be able to access resources available to military families. Here is a great FREEBIE for military families in the month of March.

FREEdom Days
For Military Families at Virginia Air and Space Center

In honor of military appreciation, the Virginia Air & Space Center has dedicated the entire month of March as FREEdom Days. FREEdom Days include free exhibit admission, free crafts for kids, discounts on IMAX admission, free rides on Glacier Run, and 10 percent off at Imagination Station and Cosmic Cafe for military members and their families.
FREEdom Days available to veterans, active duty military, spouses, and dependents. Military ID must be shown to participate.

In addition, military families will receive free admission to the Hampton History Museum.

"SPRING EGG-STRAVAGANZA" Donations

Please remember to bring all donations (plastic eggs or candy) to our next CL meeting, Tuesday, March 13th. Also, consider volunteering to man a booth. Thank you.

"SPRING EGG-STRAVAGANZA" April 7th, Saturday

The polls are closed and the results are in....

With 89% YAH votes, I am excited to announce we will be partnering with Carrow Baptist Church and holding our "Spring Egg-stravaganza" on their grounds.

***Saturday, APRIL 7th***

Watch for more information to be posted. As time draws near, you'll also see it advertised on Carrow's marquis.

This invitation is open to the general public. Come meet the Easter Bunny, see a Fire truck, play games and win prizes. Your kids can challenge themselves to an obstacle course and moonwalk. We’ll have Easter Egg Hunts for children ages 1-4, 5-8, 9-12. We might even have an Ambulance, Race Cars, and a motorcycle! Your tummy will be happy because you will be able to enjoy a hot dog and refreshments. This is a festival you won’t want to miss!

If you would like to donate plastic eggs or wrapped candy, please bring them to our meeting Tuesday, March 13th. Also, we will need volunteers to help at the booths and others to help with clean up. If you would like to volunteer, please email the league at cafcivicleague@yahoo.com with "Spring Egg-stravaganza" in the subject line.
