SYLNight offered a warm glow... of community.

Neighbors put out numerous luminaries on Susquehanna and have set the bar high for the rest of the neighbors next year. Also, King Christian Road and King Christian Circle were brightly lit. Additionally, there were neighbors congregated on Sherluck Road. Here are some photographs, but an album will be uploaded soon and the link will be found on the right-hand side of this website.

City Budget Meeting

Please join us for a community conversation about the city’s 2010-11 budget. A challenging economy, limited resources and more demand than ever for city services means this year will be a critical one for weighing citizen input and making the best possible decisions about how funding should be allocated.

These meetings are for YOU if you want to:

· Learn more about how the city’s budget is developed.
· What the recession may mean to city services.
· Give the city your input into budget priorities.
· Talk with City Council members and other citizens about what the city plans to fund, and how.

These meetings will be held through the fall to give you ample opportunity to listen, learn and talk with us. All meetings will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Burglaries involving open overhead garage doors.

Tuesday October 6, 2009 07:47 AM EDT

Over the past couple of weeks the Fourth Precinct has seen an increase in burglaries where entry is gained through the open overhead garage door. The object of intent has been bicycles or golf clubs. There has been no specific area. It appears to be occurring throughout the city.
Be mindful to keep the overhead garage door closed when away or when not nearby.
