Thank you all for coming. Bring a friend to our next meeting December 12th.

Tuesday, November 14th was our first general meeting. A sincere "Thank You" goes out to Boy Scout troop #499 for presenting colors and leading our members in the Pledge of Allegiance. It was inspiring.

For those of you in attendance, you heard from Doug McLiverty speaking about the significant difference individuals can make when they come together as a league.

You also heard from Clay Bernick, from Va. Beach Dept. of Planning and Environmental Management. He offered an exciting and colorful slideshow presentation about the Princess Anne/Witchduck/Kempsville intersection. He also presented exciting plans for the Elizabeth River Nature and Canoe Trial. He asked for input from residents about what they envisioned for the Carolanne Farm Neighborhood Park. It was fruitful for there were things mentioned that were not thought of as being possible before. With your help in volunteering, we will be working towards having a Parks Sub-Committee , as well as a Neighborhood Watch Program put in place so we can act on the concerns and move forward with development plans for the park.

Scott Wilson announced the "Light Up The Night" event. You definitely want to be a part of this tradition! Be sure to reserve your luminaries today. See below for more information.

Also, for those of you who won door prizes, enjoy! Thank you for coming and we'll see you next month, December 12th, where we will be have guest speakers to discuss gangs, crimes, and options for protecting our neighborhoods. In particular, we will begin the process of forming a NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM. Be sure to bring a friend next time. Who knows who will win the next door prize.
