2.       Spray paint addresses on curves – Betrice Hovey will look into this.
Neighborhood Watch Update:  Brenda Armitage has new information and wants to get back on track with this which will take a long term commitment.
April Board Meeting April:  We  need to discuss professional website.  We need to research cost effectiveness, possible refund of $750 to Tesoro.   If we do not use it, we will lose it.
Treasurer’s Report:  Balance currently $2,696.99.  There are outstanding expenses.
Membership:  71 members - 2010.  2011 currently at 29.
Program Light Rail:  Marie Arnt  - Ms. Arnt gave a very comprehensive presentation on The TIDE, the light rail, which will open In 2011.
One of HRT’s primary concerns is safety.  They have prepared kits to educate Norfolk Public School children as well as Virginia Beach children regarding safety issues.  These trains will be moving at 55 mph and will be bi-directional.  These trains will have accommodations for luggage, bikes and wheelchairs.  Trains will run every 7 minutes during peak hours, every 15 minutes off hours.
Research has shown that property values usually increase around areas with light rail access.
You can contact Mary at marnt@hrtransit.org or 222-6000. You can also log onto gohrt.com.
Next meeting Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Carrow Baptist Church.
