Hello everyone,
I receive daily bulletins from the 4th Precinct crime analysts which contain information on various crimes that have been reported each day throughout the 4th precinct. The bulletin I received today contains eight reports of residential burglaries/attempted burglaries – and this is for just one daily report. This grabbed my attention and I wanted to make sure that you and your friends, neighbors and families are taking extra steps to protect your homes, property, and yourselves. The burglaries mentioned occurred in the following neighborhoods and I have included streets, dates and times, and basic MO’s:

Please remain vigilant about home security, and remind those around you to do the same. And please remember to look out for one another! Call the Police Non-emergency number (385-5000) immediately to report any suspicious individuals or activity you might see. I have attached a copy of Home Security self-assessment form which you can use to find out what you need to do to improve the security of your home. If you would like another copy of the Home Security booklet. please let me know. If you do not have a Neighborhood Watch program in your area, now is a great time to start one up. Please let me know if you are interested in Neighborhood Watch, and I will send you materials and get you started in the process.
Stay safe & have a great weekend,

The program is free and open to the public for those 12 years old and up; children under 16 years old must participate with a parent. You do not need to be a Rec Center member to participate. SHED BREAK-INS (AGAIN) IN NEIGHBORHOOD!
Hi,
I received a bulletin today about a burglary that occurred in Carolanne Farms sometime between 10 pm on Feb. 22nd and 8:30 am on Feb. 23rd. The incident occurred in the 5300 block of Challedon Drive and the suspect targeted a shed – the padlock was forced off and a leaf blower was stolen.
Use the Police non-emergency number (385-5000) to report any suspicious persons and/or activity. Locks on sheds or other out-buildings should be upgraded; alternatively, if possible, items of higher value should be stored in garages or other more secure locations.
Thank you for all you do in your community. Please let me know if you need any further information or assistance. Take care & stay safe,
